Climate Fiction (Cli-Fi) & Environment Books
The publication of works such as Richard Powers’ ‘Overstory’ and Claire North’s ‘Notes from the Burning Age’ have shown the power of novels that grapple with environmental topics. These are books that stand in their own right as tremendous works of literature but which also have the courage and strength to bring our gaze towards one of the greatest issues humanity will ever face: the combined climate and ecological crisis. We therefore thought it essential to curate a list of titles which might be broadly thought of as climate and environmental fiction when we started the shop. We as humans are emotional creatures, our writers are the vanguard of collective feeling and change.
