Isabella Tree, George Monbiot, Benedict MacDonald, and an increasingly well recognised host of voices continue to draw our attention to the possibility of a wilder future. Of allowing nature to thrive. Of turning conservation methods away from single species protection and towards letting natural processes take centre stage once again. Whilst these authors might not always agree on everything and rewilding remains a contested concept, an intellectual and cultural explosion of activity has emerged in the wake of this burgeoning movement. Organisations like Rewilding Britain and Heal Rewilding are now supporting projects on the ground. At Sherlock & Pages, we seek to place ourselves as a bookseller who can offer a point of reference within the various debates whilst keeping close contact with projects like Heal Somerset who are taking ideas from the page and planting them into the soil.
