Mamo

Mamo is a graphic novel by Sas Milledge following Orla O'Reilly, the youngest in a line of hedge witches, who returns home to the town of Haresden after the death of her grandmother, Mamo.

When Mamo's spirit grows restless, supernatural chaos breaks out across town - the seas turn unfishable, crops fail, and hauntings plague the residents - and Orla discovers her grandmother's mislaid bones are the cause.

As she works to lay the spirit to rest and save her community, Orla must decide whether to accept the role her grandmother always expected her to take on as Haresden's new witch.

The 224-page book collects the original five-issue comic series and explores the tension between duty and self-determination for readers aged 8-12.
