Pilgrimage and Wild Journey Books

Books about Pilgrimage and long distance walking have been part of the Sherlock & Pages story from the beginning. Indeed, the shop was conceived whilst Luke & Agathe walked the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route across the north of Spain and they literally stumbled across Frome one fine evening whilst walking the Glastonbury Water Way. For years Luke has documented his own walks across remote sections of the English countryside, traversing from church to church and posting updates under the instagram handle @englishpilgrim. As such, featuring books by the likes of Guy Stagg and Raynor Winn feels an important nod to the heritage of Sherlock & Pages. We hope some of you will make a pilgrimage to the shop before long and even walk on  to find the magic tree we so adore just to the north of Frome - a painting of which  sits  on the walls of the shop.
