Carnality is a novel by Swedish author Lina Wolff, translated by Frank Perry.

A Swedish writer travelling on a stipend arrives in a sweltering Madrid, where she meets a stranger willing to trade his extraordinary life story for a place to stay. His tale spirals into a shadowy internet TV show bound by a strange morality clause, a threat against his life, a sinister nun, and the story of a girl missing her left thumb, eventually leading to an encounter with the enigmatic Lucia that forces the writer to question her own nature.

Dark, unsettling and often wickedly funny, the novel probes desire, storytelling and the search for truth in the corners of society people prefer not to look at.
