The Annual Migration of Clouds is a post-apocalyptic novella by Premee Mohamed set in a climate-ravaged near-future Alberta.

It follows Reid, a young woman infected with Cad, a parasitic fungus that has spread through her community and subtly alters the minds of its hosts.

When Reid is offered a place at one of the last surviving pre-collapse settlements, a chance to escape and secure a better future, she must decide whether to leave behind her mother and the community that depends on her, all while questioning whether she can trust her own compromised judgement enough to ask others to trust her.

Blending hopepunk sensibilities with a clear-eyed look at climate collapse, the novella explores community, obligation, and what we owe to the people who raised us.

It won the Aurora Award and is the first book in its series.
