Nature Writing Books
Nature writing is at the core of Sherlock & Pages and we curate an extensive list across sub-categories including ‘trees’, ‘birds’, ‘ocean stores’, ‘plants & fungi’ and much more. From the conception of the shop Luke and Agathe wanted to highlight the incredible wealth of British writers in this emerging category, whilst also making room for those special voices from around the world who draw our hearts towards a culture of caring for nature. From Robert MacFarlane to Nan Shepherd, Kathleen Jamie and Robin Wall Kimmerer, there is so much to be learned and felt from writers who seek to reconnect us with the natural world. As a conservation bookshop, it’s central to our mission to get the right books in the right hands to inspire change in the world. And as we say, Long Live the Hedgerows.
